The sun hit camp earlyish this morning which felt nice as we packed our things away.

Once organised we re-traced our steps back up to the ridge and followed it all the way up to the Muratello breche, a lovely viewpoint. Here, we toppled over to the Vizzavona side of the mountain.

This stage is composed of a long climb and a long descent which is one of the longest descents of the GR20.

The descent is made through scree to the sheepfold of Puzaatelli then on a path in the forest to the station of Vizzavona. It had been roasting today so the welcome shade of the forest was a real treat.

Tonight we had booked a hotel in Vizzavona and tomorrow was a rest day.
