A Long Weekend in Liverpool

  • November 2024

Liverpool is a city that effortlessly blends history, culture and vibrant energy, making it the perfect destination for a long weekend.

We kicked things off at the iconic Cavern Club, where live music brought the spirit of the Beatles to life. The atmosphere was electric, with talented performers paying homage to the band that put Liverpool on the global map.

The next day, we embarked on a city tour, visiting the childhood homes of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. These humble beginnings, some more so than others, offered a glimpse into the lives of the legends before fame.

A stop at Strawberry Field added a touch of nostalgia, with its peaceful gardens, insightful exhibition and amazing home baked cakes.

No trip to Liverpool is complete without exploring the Albert Dock. This is probably my favourite part of Liverpool.

Wandering along the waterfront, we admired the stunning architecture, including the majestic Liver Building, before taking a leisurely stroll along the promenade.

We then wrapped up our visit with a quick shopping spree in the city centre to start some Christmas shopping.

Whether you’re a Beatles fan, history buff, or simply love a lively city, Liverpool has something for everyone.  Check out some more amazing photos below of our trip.
