Hi Mary Berlin sounds a very diverse city I would love to visit. Every time I see a picture of the Brandenburg Gate it makes me think of your Dad, as you know he spent some time in Germany and he sent a postcard of this monument. I hear it is a fairly easy city to get around. Thanks for the tour around Berlin.

    1. Hi there. Plenty to see and do thats for sure. We had a nice seat on one of the evenings under the Brandenburg Gate with a couple of mulled wines. Very different to my Dad’s experience there albeit! It was very easy to get around the city. Their transportation system was amazing especially the underground, trams and trains. X

Glad you managed a break from work/studies to visit Berlin.
It’s a really interesting vibrant city with plenty to see and do. I also remember your dad talking about his visit there when he was stationed in Germany. Think it made a big impression on him. Although I imagine it was very different then. A. Lena xx

    1. Hi there. Yes managed a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life! There’s so much history we could have been there days on end just visiting museums etc. Albeit my dad’s days there were very different indeed to our visit and I can only imagine what it must have been like. We had a lovely evening on one of the nights just sitting under the Brandenburg Gate with a few mulled wines reminiscing. X
