So What’s My Story…

…I don’t actually have ‘a story’ as such or don’t feel the need to offer one up! I’m pretty much a private person who decided to do a blog to stay in touch with family/friends over my trip away to Nepal. So this blog is a first for me. Its written purely for family/friends/entertainment purposes only.

Have managed to finish reading your whole blog now that we”re home. The grandchildren were really interested in the pictures especially the crocodiles! Wish I’d known about the blog while you were away as the family would all have loved to follow you. Your mum gave us the link when we were up in Fife. Joe is in Nepal at the moment and will be there till December but won’t be climbing.

      2. Hi there…glad you managed to get through it and if I’d known before leaving that you would have been interested in following the adventure I would have sent you the link no problem. Yeah the pictures are good…glad you guys all enjoyed them…I have loads! Mum was saying about Joe being in Nepal…I am so envious of him…he will love it and hopefully take it all in…it should certainly open up his eyes…good experience for him for sure! Let me know how it went for him. I think I might start recording my ‘adventures’ on this blog as I am always doing some kind of walking activity or being outdoors in general so it’s a good way of recording things..so watch this space..I wished I had done this before and that way I could have logged all the Munro’s I have done already. Hope you guys are all well…my Mum enjoyed her time with you all. Lots of love xxx

  2. Hi Mary Alice told me about your blog. Fantastic read and great photography. Have you both thought about alternative careers?! Bet your dad didn’t realize when he was taking you up Benarty Hill that you’d be inspired to do this!! Wish I’d known about your blog when you were actually there. Would have enjoyed following it. Let us all know about your next one and we’ll all follow you. Great that the spirit of adventure existing in the next generation. I’m sure you’ve passed it on to the “boys” too. Love from Auntie Lena xx

    1. Hi Auntie Lena…aw I’m glad you liked it…I had initially set up the blog to keep in touch with Daryl, Corey and my mum and the word spread to the wider family and a few friends lol…if I had known I would have sent you the link no problem.

Yes my early years walking, including hours and hours and hours spent on Sundays up Blairadam, Benarty Hill and the Ochil Hills with my Dad certainly planted the seed and got me hooked on walking…and I’m certainly passing it on to the boys although they think I go to extremes!!

Im sure my Dad walked with me every step of the way, he was there, sniggering at me for now following in the same ludicrous footsteps as him and his love of walking.

We loved our trip and it’s certainly got me hungry for more so looking at a few other adventures…watch this space!

I’ve never ‘blogged’ before but actually enjoyed it but felt the pressures at times haaa…its a good way though of recording trips, wished I had started it whilst doing all my Munro walking…acareer change could be good…maybe a full time travelling blogger…now that would be good.

Hope you guys are all well…sending our love xxx
