‘The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams’…South America, in particular Patagonia is one of my dreams…
…so as I sit on the plane (Read:14 long hours) I had much time to reflect about what it was in particular that pulled me towards visiting South America.
View from plane leaving Edinburgh. Check out the 3 bridges – The Queensferry Crossing, The Forth Road Bridge, The Forth Railway Bridge, left to right in picture.
I had/have many destinations in my head but Patagonia featured high up on that list. Maybe simply in my mind I felt like it was just the place for outdoorsy type things I like to do.
I first saw photos of it years ago, those unique jagged peaks, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls….nature at its purest.
View from plane heading into London with an amazing sunset.
On researching South America it hit me how huge it actually was and I became slightly disappointed when I realised that in the 4 weeks we had we could not see everything we wanted to see in both Argentina and Chile…and I wanted to see everything!
There’s far more on offer here than you can fit into a lifetime; let alone a single trip!
So in the planning stages it was difficult. We looked at what we really really wanted to see, then what was do-able in terms of distance, time, cost etc and we came up with an amazing itinery…well we think so anyway!
So let the adventures begin……
Look forward once again to another amazing adventure Mary. I have no doubt you will both have a great time following your dreams.
Lots of love
